MEDIA RELEASE
Regional Victoria to host rescheduled awards ceremony
Victoria’s premier rural and regional media awards will be hosted in central Victoria this year, with the event moved to October.
A decision to hold the awards night in Ballarat or Bendigo will be made in coming weeks as the Rural Press Club of Victoria (RPCV) finalises details for the rescheduled celebration.
The awards night was slated for August 27 in Melbourne.
RPCV Vice President Bryce Eishold said members were keen to gather and celebrate after a tough 18 months and the flexibility to move the ceremony to a regional city was a plus.
“Rescheduling the awards ceremony is a great opportunity for the club to support regional hospitality venues, who have been hit hard by the pandemic,” he said.
“We are grateful to have the option to hold an event in these uncertain times and I’m sure our members would love the opportunity to get together.”
More details will be available soon.
RPCV members will be notified when ticket sales open.
