Lifetime Achievement Awards

With the RPCV set to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026, the club is hosting a Lifetime Achievement Awards to mark the occasion.

The RPCV is calling for media professionals and the general public to nominate someone who has committed their career to regional Victorian media.

Eligible candidates can be veteran journalists, editors, photographers, sub-editors, camera operators, compositors, advertising professionals or other long-serving staff who have made a noteworthy contribution to the sector.

Nominations close on 10 February 2026.

Eligibility

  1. Nominations can only be made by current RPCV members.
  2. Eligible nominees can be veteran journalists, editors, photographers, sub-editors, camera operators, compositors, advertising professionals or other long-serving staff who have made a noteworthy contribution to the sector.
  3. Nominees must have capacity to attend the March event.

Nomination Requirements

  1. Nominations can only be made by current RPCV members.
  2. Nominations can be made online via the RPCV website nomination form until February 10.
  3. Entrants must provide the name and contact details of both the nominee and the nominator.
  4. Entrants must provide an explanation of no more than 250 words, summarising the career of the nominee.
  5. Nominees must have capacity to attend the March event.

Judging Criteria

  1. Nominations will be reviewed by the committee in February 2026.
  2. The winners will be notified in the weeks before the function.
