The Rural Press Club of Victoria has a new leadership team in 2019. President Laura Poole, returning for a second term, is joined at the helm by new vice president James Wagstaff, a senior journalist at The Weekly Times. The executive leadership team includes treasurer Laura Griffin and secretary Nicole Cairns.
Ms Poole said the club was excited about the year ahead, and looked forward to another successful awards campaign. The RPCV welcomes new committee members in Simone Smith (pictured), Joely Mitchell and Tim Pigot who join committee members Melanie Curtis, Rex Martinich, Bryce Eishold and Jeanette Severs. Ms Poole said the club extends its thanks to long serving committee members Stephen Cooke and John Rees who stood down from their roles at the last AGM, but who retain important mentoring roles.
