The Federal Government will produce a green paper for public consultation, followed by a final white paper as part of its development of a National Food Plan, Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig announced when he address the Rural Press Club of Victoria in October.
The National Food Plan is intended to underpin the integrity of Australia’s food supply chains.
Minister Ludwig said that as well as providing a significant source of food for Australia, the nation’s food industry fed an additional 40 million people worldwide.
