Congratulations to our 2021/22 Award Winners!

Journalism and Photography Winners for 2021/22 Revealed at Ballarat Event

The winners of the 2022 Rural Press Club of Victoria Rural and Regional Journalism and Photography Awards were announced at a memorable event in Ballarat on Friday night.

Loddon Herald was crowned Media Outlet of the Year with high commendations to The Weekly Times and Shepparton News.

Harrison Tippet (Geelong Advertiser) was awarded Journalist of the Year, Shannon Schubert (ABC Central Victoria) the Ray Frawley Young Journalist of the Year and Darren Howe (Bendigo Advertiser) the Photographer of the Year.

The event also recognised Anne Burgi who was awarded with a life membership for her significant and enduring service to the RPCV and industry over 50 years. In particular, Anne has been a dedicated judge of the RPCV awards over the last decade. She becomes the third life member of the club.
