About John Pesutto
Originally from Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley, Mr Pesutto studied law and commerce at the University of Melbourne.
He worked as a lawyer and consultant before making the move to politics, where he served as a senior advisor to premiers Ted Baillieu and Denis Napthine.
He was first elected to the Victorian Parliament as the Member for Hawthorn in 2014 for a single term before regaining his seat at the 2022 election. He was elected leader of the Victorian Liberal Party in December 2022.
