Food security was front and centre at the Rural Press Club of Victoria on Friday morning, when members and guests gathered for the club’s first breakfast meeting since the beginning of the pandemic.
Fifty people gathered to hear leaders from the agriculture industry discuss the role of the supply chain in shoring up Australian food security.
Panellists Warren Inwood (Bayer), Emma Germano (VFF) and Dr Leigh Vial (farmer and international researcher) joined in discussion, moderated by The Weekly Times’ deputy editor, Camille Smith.
The conversation was fascinating, wide ranging, thought provoking, and at times unexpected.
